Completed in 2 weeks, 600m2 of 27”body carpet by the Wilton Carpet Ltd, was fitted to the Grand Staircase and Public Circulation Areas.
Our Master Carpet fitters Eddie and Matt Fell, Steve Cardell and Dave Martell seamed almost 1000 linear metres of joins in this 80/20 wool blend, woven carpet.

Complete Refurbishment of Arnold Library

Replacing the old worn out fibre bonded carpet with 1000m2 Supacord Carpet Tiles and Dreadnought Matting by Heckmondwike, the whole project was completed to a tight deadline. The notice boards were covered with Eomac Wallcord, creating a modern feel to the library space, replacing the existing 70’s decor. 
New Sports Floor at Quarrydale Comprehensive School, Sutton in Ashfield.
School premises, more often than not, need maintenance work to be carried out during the summer holidays so that minimal disruption is caused to daily lessons in term time. During the summer of 2009 we were commissioned to install new sports flooring at Quarrydale School in Nottinghamshire.
The school had two sports halls totalling over 600 m2 that required sub-floor preparation and a new floor covering. With such a vast area to resurface we chose to reduce the project’s timescale by using a pumpable Ultra Floor levelling compound, Level IT SmoothFlow.
When working on large flooring projects effective application plays an important role in timely completion. Ultra Floor Level IT SmoothFlow is suitable for trowel application, yet expertly formulated so excellent flow can be achieved when applied by pump. Such flow characteristics allow for optimum coverage, resulting in a thin, exceptionally strong and perfectly level underlayment.
Prior to the application of Level IT SmoothFlow the concrete substrate in both halls was prepared by our team of floor layers with Ultra Floor DPM IT two coat to create a waterproof surface membrane. This was then primed with Ultra Floor Prime IT N, to enhance the bond of Level IT SmoothFlow.
Pumping Level IT SmoothFlow into the sports halls took only approximately 1 1⁄2 hours and once dry, Gerflor’s Taraflex® Sport M Plus synthetic indoor sports floor was laid, the different court line markings added the finishing touch.

With Karndean Da Vinci vinyl to the circulation areas, and Paragon Workspace carpet tiles to the offices and learning zones, the design team created a modern functional working environment.

Installation Scotmat Sprint carpet to 300 bedrooms and corridors, staircases etc, including uplift of existing carpet. Works carried out August 2009, achieving the deadline of students returning despite very late delivery of 3400 m2 of carpet.

Refurbishment of the existing school completed September 2009. Using Forbo Marmoleum linoleum and Tarkett Safetread, with Supacord carpet tiles to classroom areas, 2700m2. Part of the ambitious Building Schools for the Future program in Nottingham.
